SLBN Jenangan Ponorogo Visit Caru Eduagrowisata: Getting to Know Healthy Food Sources in P5

UNIDA Gontor – On Thursday (26/9/2024), Eduagrowisata Caru, which is an educational and recreational vehicle based on community empowerment in Caru Hamlet, Bajang Village, Mlarak District, Ponorogo, received a visit from students of SLBN Jenangan Ponorogo. This visit was part of the activities of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) with the theme “Build Your Body and Soul” and the topic “Knowing Healthy Food Sources.”

Caru Eduagrowisata is an initiative of UNIDA Gontor to promote the downstreaming of local village products through education and recreation. It focuses on community-based agricultural development, including grape cultivation, which is expected to become an out-of-class learning center. Thus, Caru Eduagrowisata is expected to be able to become the center of educational tourism in Ponorogo while supporting the community empowerment efforts of Bajang village.

Ustadzah Niken Sylvia Puspitasari, S.Pd., M.Si., one of the managers of Eduagrowisata Caru, expressed her hope that the concept of eduagrowisata will continue to grow. “The eduagro-tourism concept that combines education and recreation is expected to develop into an out-of-class learning destination and a center for grape cultivation development in Ponorogo, which is supported by the downstreaming of local village products,” she said.

During the visit, the students of SLBN Jenangan Ponorogo had the opportunity to learn about healthy food sources. This activity is a challenge for the assistants, especially in teaching children with special needs. Mr. Purwadi, one of the assistants, expressed his impression of this activity. “This visit is very memorable because it is a challenge in teaching children with special needs, where they also have the same rights to learn as students in general,” he said.

This activity not only provides educational experiences for students, but also strengthens the spirit of inclusive education that upholds equality for all students without exception.
