UNIDA Gontor – On Thursday, September 4, 2024, the Higher Education Leadership Working Meeting (Rakerpim) and the 2024 University Excellence Award were held at the Ball Room, Grand Mercure, Malang. The event with the theme “LLDIKTI Region VII Moving Forward for East Java and Golden Indonesia” was attended by 288 universities throughout East Java, including representatives from UNIDA Gontor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Setiawan bin Lahuri, M.A.
The meeting featured a number of prominent speakers, such as the Director General of Diktiristek Kemendikbudristek, the Secretary General of Kemendikbudristek, and the Head of Higher Education Service Institution Region VII. They discussed various important issues, including improving the quality of vocational and academic universities towards a World Class University, strategies for managing KIP Lectures, and strengthening the role of LLDIKTI in facilitating the quality of higher education.
The event was also filled with a review of student work by the Director General of Vocational Studies, as well as the signing of a cooperation agreement between universities and the National Narcotics Agency (BNN).
The highlight of the event was the Awarding of Excellent Campus, which began with the reading of the Decree, and closed with an inspiring message from Prof. Dr. Dyah Sawitri, S.E., M.M., as Head of LLDIKTI Region 7 who invited all universities in East Java to continue to join hands towards excellence and proud accreditation. “By complying with the system and building a foundation of character, we will produce superior human resources to create a golden Indonesia,” she concluded.
