UNIDA Gontor — The 2nd International Students’ Festival at Universitas Darussalam Gontor was successfully conducted on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at the Lobby of the Integrated Building. Organized by international students, the festival ran from 08.00 to 11.00 WIB and created a dynamic environment that combined academic interaction with rich cultural expression. The event gathered students, lecturers, and invited guests in a meaningful celebration of global diversity within the university community.
The presence of the Dean and several faculty members from the Faculty of Humanities significantly enhanced the importance of the occasion. Their attendance demonstrated strong institutional support for international activities and reaffirmed the faculty’s role in encouraging cross-cultural understanding among students. Such engagement reflects the broader vision of UNIDA Gontor in positioning itself as a leading institution that values inclusivity and global awareness, in line with its reputation as a Universitas Islam Terbaik.
Adding further distinction to the event, the Deputy Dean for Pesantren and Student Affairs, Cooperation, and Internationalisation, Al-Ustadz Ali Musa Harahap, Ph.D., visited various national booths, including the Cambodian booth. During his visit, he interacted with participating students and sampled traditional Cambodian cuisine. This moment symbolized genuine cultural appreciation and highlighted the spirit of international friendship promoted throughout the festival.
The International Students’ Festival served not only as a platform for cultural exhibitions but also as a space for dialogue, learning, and mutual respect. Participants had the opportunity to present their cultural heritage, exchange perspectives, and build meaningful connections across national boundaries.
