“International Conference of Afro-Asia University Forum is to be held at UNIDA Gontor on 22-23 July 2018 with the theme ‘The Role of Afro-Asia Universities in Building Civilization”, Prof. Dr. Amal Fathullah Zarkasyi, Rector of UNIDA Gontor said on Tuesday (3/7).
Dr. Abdul Hafidz Zaid, Head of Conference Committee who spoke to press after the committee meeting, explained that the conference has four main topics which focus on the development of human resources, literature, education, and science.
Dr. Abdul Hafidz Zaid said, “In the human resources area, we hope that we can formulate steps on human resources development in order for them to be ready for global competition.”
He also explained that the development of literature will be focused on economy, politics, social, culture, and science aspects.
“We will also discuss sustainable systems of education, politics, and economy,” stated Dr. Setiawan Bin Lahuri, Vice Rector II of UNIDA Gontor. He added, “In this case, the sustainability is the keyword since we do not want a temporary growth.”
In regard to science aspect, Dr. Hamid Fahmy Zarkasyi, Vice Rector I of UNIDA Gontor, asserted that the discussion will be focused on science and technology innovation for humans’ welfare.
As mentioned in the previous news, tens of universities from Asia and Africa continents as members of Afro-Asian University Forum (AAUF) will visit UNIDA Gontor on 22-23 July 2018 to participate in the International Conference and to attend the AAUF Founders Board Meeting.
